2026 Perseid Meteor Shower Viewing at Jeju Star Life Ecology Park
Watch the Perseids Over Jeju
Every August, the Perseid meteor shower puts on one of the year's best stargazing shows — and Jeju Star Life Ecology Park is hosting a public viewing night to make the most of it. Debris from comet Swift-Tuttle burns up in the atmosphere, creating the "shooting stars" the shower is famous for, and 2026's peak coincides with low moonlight, meaning better visibility than usual.

Good to Know
Bring a mat and a light jacket — it can get cool at night even in August.
The park's location away from city lights makes it one of the better spots on the island for stargazing.
Lecture spots are limited, so register as soon as registration opens.
